Job summary

Bright Horizons in Livingston is seeking an Early Years Chef to prepare, cook and present meals that meet children's nutritional needs. You will support dietary requirements and work with staff and parents to promote healthy eating.

The role includes leading cookery clubs and helping with nursery events. Applicants should have proven cooking experience in a nursery or care setting, Food Safety CIEH L2+, COSHH knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Food Safety CIEH L2 or above required.
• Strong knowledge of COSHH and safe handling.
• Nutrition-focused approach to children's meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present age-appropriate meals for nursery children.
• Ensure dietary requirements are catered for and communicated to teams and parents.
• Lead cookery club sessions and assist with nursery activities and events.

You will ensure all dietary requirements are catered for and clearly communicated to teams, and work in partnership with the team and parents to encourage a healthy and nutritious diet.
