Job summary

Kindred Nurseries is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our nursery team and support children through play, learning and daily routines in a warm, home-from-home environment.

You will help deliver engaging activities, build positive relationships with children and families, support routines, follow safeguarding policies, and participate in staff meetings and training as part of a caring, supportive workplace that values development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children
• Experience within an Early Years or childcare setting
• Safeguarding and health & safety policies awareness

Responsibilities

• Support the nursery team to provide a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for every child.
• Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can learn through play.
• Assist in delivering engaging activities that encourage children's curiosity, creativity and development.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Support children's daily routines, helping them feel happy, safe and secure.
• Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming nursery environment.
• Observe and celebrate children's achievements, supporting their learning and development.
• Follow Kindred's policies and procedures, promoting safeguarding, health and safety at all times.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and nursery events.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide outstanding care and education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn and develop within an Early Years environment.
