Job summary

Bright Horizons The Park Day Nursery and Preschool in Watford (WD18) is seeking an Early Years Assistant. You will support babies and children up to age 5 through play, reading and development activities in a nurturing team.

This 40-hour per week, permanent role offers stability, Ofsted rated Good, and a benefits package including childcare discounts, enhanced leave, pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar

• As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Bright Horizons The Park Day Nursery and Preschool. The nursery is Ofsted rated 'Good', and is situated in Watford in a beautiful converted Victorian house. The 63-place setting has four rooms across three floors. It is very local to the Watford town centre and has great transport links- the Watford metropolitan station is very close by, and Watford Junction is just a 10 minute walk.

• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
