Bright Horizons Beckenham Day Nursery is seeking an Early Years Assistant to care for babies and children up to age 5 in a warm, purpose-built setting. You will contribute to a nurturing environment, support children’s discovery through interactive play, and help them reach their key milestones.

Salary – £29,432 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a Early Years Assistant to join our Beckenham Day Nursery which offers a warm, inclusive, and purpose‑built setting where early years professionals can truly thrive. Located in a beautifully converted house with a landscaped garden, the nursery features enriching spaces such as a mud kitchen, sensory play zones, and all‑weather music areas. The nursery is within walking distance of Elmers End Station and well‑connected by local bus routes, making commuting easy and stress‑free.

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
