Job summary

Bright Horizons Horsham Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join our friendly team in Horsham. You will help look after babies and children up to 5 years old, supporting their development through play, reading and engaging activities.

You will work with colleagues to provide a safe, nurturing environment, building strong partnerships with parents and supporting the centre’s HEART values in daily practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with children preferred but not required.
• Ability to engage children and support their development.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and parents.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.
• Engage in interactive play, reading and activities to support development.

Salary – Starting from £26,662.20 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
