Bright Horizons' Ely nursery is seeking an Early Years Assistant to join a close-knit team caring for babies and children up to age 5 on-site at the Cambridgeshire Business Park, near Ely train station.

You will support learning through play, reading, and activities, and help colleagues track each child’s milestones while building trust with families. DBS checks and safeguarding are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a supportive team.
• Facilitate interactive play, activities and reading to encourage curiosity.
• Support colleagues with each child’s development toward key milestones.

We're looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Ely nursery, which is conveniently located in the Cambridgeshire Business Park, just five minutes from Ely train station. We offer on-site parking for staff. Our modern, purpose-built nursery features a large outdoor area and well-equipped, spacious rooms that encourage children to learn through exploration and investigation., As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds - supporting colleagues with each child's development towards their key milestones.

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential - Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
