Job summary

Catalyst Academies Trust invites applicants to train as a Level 2 Early Years Apprentice. This 12‑month programme could lead to Teaching Assistant, HLTA or further study, with GCSE English and maths at grade 4/C or higher and good ICT skills.

You will be paid at least £8.00 per hour for 30 hours per week, 52 weeks a year. Training is one day per week at Dilkes Academy, South Ockendon, with regular assessment visits and mentoring from your employer. There are no costs to the apprentice.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or higher.
• Excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess progress of apprentices in the workplace.
• Attend training one day per week at a partner college.
• Develop skills toward Teaching Assistant roles and progression.
