Job summary

Kido Reading Nursery & Preschool in Reading is offering an Early Years Apprentice position. You’ll gain hands-on experience while working toward a recognised early years qualification, with a structured Level 3 course and progression to Level 2 sign-off.

The role is full-time (40 hours) with a salary of £18,200–£19,240 and a route to £26,499 after qualification, plus benefits and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 apprenticeship typically lasts 2 years.
• No prior qualifications required for Level 3 role.
• Right to work in the UK and UK residency for past 3 years.
• GCSE Maths/English desirable; Functional Skills may be required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of your apprenticeship journey and engage in training.
• Create a warm, safe, engaging environment for children.
• Support learning through play-based activities aligned with EYFS.
• Build relationships with children and involve parents in progress.
• Collaborate with a supportive team to deliver childcare and events.
• Maintain safeguarding, health, and safety standards at all times.
