Job summary

The Growth Company is recruiting an early years apprentice for a new nursery in Newton Heath, Manchester. You will be supported to achieve a recognised Level 2 Qualification in Childcare, with the opportunity to progress to Level 3 on completion.

You will care for children, prepare environments for learning, plan activities, and follow safeguarding and health & safety practices. The role offers full training and a long-term career path with the potential for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths at A*-C/9-4.
• Experience caring for children preferred.
• Support for Level 2 apprenticeship progression.

Responsibilities

• Caring for children.
• Prepare and maintain environments to meet children's needs.
• Plan and support children's play, learning and development.
• Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety practices.
• Prepare snacks and assist with feeding and cleaning.
• Work as part of a team.
• Develop and maintain relationships with parents and staff.
• Support the key person role within a group of children.
• Promote equal opportunities for all children, families and staff.
