Job summary

Childbase Partnership Limited in Swindon is offering an Early Years Apprentice role at Windmill Hill Day Nursery. You will work 37.5 hours per week across 52 weeks, with shifts 07:30-18:30 Monday to Friday, starting at £8.00 per hour and progressing to £10.41 after six months.

After 12 months for workers aged 21+, the rate rises to £12.74 per hour. This apprenticeship blends practical nursery experience with underpinning training through our EduBase academy, with a pathway to a Qualified Nursery

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK evidenced by appropriate documentation (e.g., visa if applicable) and National Insurance number.
• Ideally resident in the UK for the last three years and ability to travel to our training sessions at the Newport Pagnell academy.
• Access to a computer (laptop or PC) to undertake online assessments and submit coursework.

Responsibilities

• Care for babies and young children under five while developing practical knowledge in early years tasks.
• Plan and implement high quality activities linked to the early years curriculum and promote learning through play.
• Observe, assess and record children’s progress and manage time for study during working hours.
