Job summary

Merry Poppets Nursery Ltd in Henlow is offering two permanent full-time apprenticeships as Early Years Educators (Level 3). You will train while delivering high-quality care and education to children from birth to 5 years.

You will observe, plan activities, maintain records, safeguard, and work with families to support children's development. Training is provided by Central Bedfordshire Council; hours are Mon-Fri 8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00; duration 1 year 6 months; two positions available.

Qualifications

• Essential GCSE Maths/English at grade A*–C or 4–9.
• Course: Early years educator (level 3).
• Route: Education and early years; Apprenticeship Level: Advanced.

Responsibilities

• Support practitioners in providing high-quality care and education.
• Observe children and help extend their learning through planned activities that meet their individual needs and interests.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, family members, and colleagues to continually improve the quality of care and education provided.
• Help ensure that children are kept safe and that safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed at all times.
• Contribute to creating a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
