Job summary

Walker Hamill is seeking a VC Associate to manage the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and founder relations to due diligence and post-investment support. You will help identify opportunities across Europe and build strong relationships with scientific founders.

In this role you will contribute to internal processes, deal flow management, and representing the firm at industry events, working closely with the founding partners to scale the fund.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Venture Capital, Big Tech, or as a founder/operator in a high-growth technology business.
• A demonstrable passion for startups, emerging technologies, and early-stage investing.
• Outstanding analytical and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and comfort operating in a fast-paced, unstructured environment.
• A strong academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Biotech, Materials Science, or a related STEM discipline would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing investment opportunities across Europe and building founder relationships.
• Conducting due diligence and supporting investment decisions.
• Working closely with portfolio companies post-investment.
• Representing the firm at industry events and aiding growth of the business.
