Job summary

GI Group Main Account is seeking a skilled turkey production operative to trim turkey breasts, portion products to specification, and handle line duties on the cone line, while maintaining food safety and quality.

The role runs Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 AM with shifts up to 10 hours. Full training is provided, with opportunities to increase the hourly rate after successful training. On-site facilities include a canteen and staff sales.

Qualifications

• A good level of English to understand instructions, training and Health & Safety requirements.
• Own transport to ensure reliable travel to and from the site.
• Availability to work Tuesday to Saturday from 6:00 AM until finish.
• Ability and willingness to work shifts of up to 10 hours.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Regular and consistent work.
• Enhanced overtime rates after 40 hours worked per week.

Responsibilities

• Trim turkey breasts to the required product specification.
• Work on the cone line, handling and preparing turkey products as required.
• Portion turkeys and turkey products accurately to specification.
• Use knives and relevant equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain high standards of product quality, hygiene and food safety.
• Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and working instructions.
• Work efficiently as part of the production team to support operational requirements.
