Job summary

Acorn Recruitment is urgently recruiting HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) drivers for a busy trunking operation in Coatbridge. The role offers Monday to Friday shifts starting between 4am and 6am, with no weekend work and a reliable weekday pattern.

You’ll drive double-deck trailers, complete depot-to-depot runs, and ensure paperwork is accurate. The position includes minimum 8 hours’ pay per shift, weekly pay, online payslips, pension, temp-to-perm opportunities and rewards through Acorn’s Rewards Scheme.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) licence.
• CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Experience with double-deck trailers preferred.
• Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trunking work using double-deck trailers.
• Complete depot-to-depot runs with no manual handling.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe and presentable vehicle.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
