Renfrewshire Council is seeking an enthusiastic Early Learning Support Worker to join their team. The role involves assisting nursery officers in providing quality early learning and childcare, engaging with children, and ensuring a supportive learning environment. Candidates need relevant qualifications at SCQF level 6 and prior experience with young children. A successful applicant will also require a Disclosure Scotland check.
Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled Early Learning Support Worker.
You will be part of a team assisting nursery officers in the delivery of early learning and childcare, including supporting lunchtimes, working with individual or groups of children, and organizing playrooms.
It is essential that you demonstrate a commitment and ability to undertake the required qualification in early learning and childcare in line with SSSC requirements: NC in childhood practice at SCQF level 6 or SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF level 6 as stipulated in SSSC; or an equivalent qualification.
Essential qualities include experience working with children and young people, the ability to communicate effectively with children and adults, a caring nature, responsiveness, and an awareness of the needs of young children.
If you are not already registered with SSSC, you will be required to do so as a Support Worker of the Day Care of Children Service within the designated timeline.
