Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is seeking a proactive Screening Officer - Early Help on a fixed-term basis. You will join the Early Help Screening team within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, providing expert advice and assistance to families identified as in need of early intervention.

This role requires Welsh language ability and a valid DBS Enhanced check, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement between home and office. Driving licence is required to fulfil field aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Welsh language ability required for the role.
• Experience in education, social care or voluntary sector is desirable.
• Ability to work across health, police, education and social care to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice, information and assistance to children, young people and families in need of Early Help support.
• Work within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub in the Early Help Screening team.
• Collaborate with staff across partner agencies to prevent escalation and safeguard vulnerable groups.
