Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a caring Nursery Assistant for a part-time, term-time role in the L32 area of Liverpool. Start date in September, contract until July 2027 with potential extension. 3 days per week, 8:30am–3:30pm, in a two-form entry primary school.

You will support early years learning and development in a nurturing nursery setting. You will work with an experienced Early Years team to deliver engaging activities, foster social and emotional development, and assist with observations

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with young children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting.
  • Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting young learners.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS Framework is desirable.
  • Experience supporting children with SEN is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support children with their learning through play and structured activities.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Encourage children's communication, language, social, and emotional development.
  • Assist with observations and contribute to children's learning and development records.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, SENCO and senior leadership to support learning.
