Job summary

Alexander Mann Solutions in Birmingham is seeking an Early Careers & Campus Recruiter to join the Emerging Talent team on a 12-month FTC, onsite 3 days per week. You will own end-to-end attraction and selection activities for Work Experience, T-levels and Apprenticeship hiring, delivering high-volume recruitment for a leading financial services client.

You should bring recruitment experience in early careers, strong communication, and comfort with data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Recruitment experience, ideally RPO/In-house with a focus on Early Careers (Apprenticeships).
  • Ability to operate in a high volume, fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Work Experience and Apprenticeships recruitment best practices and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication across geographies and seniority levels.
  • Ability to utilise data in decision making.
  • Nice to have: awareness of Early Careers trends.
  • Interviewing/trainer experience and diversity sourcing experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Own a key project in Work Experience or Apprenticeship hiring.
  • Manage risk in a global, regulated environment.
  • Deliver recruitment activity and optimise processes.
  • Facilitate virtual and in-person selection processes; run interviews and assessment centres.

What does a “day in the life” of my new team look like?

You’ll work as part of the wider Emerging Talent team responsible for Work Experience, T-level, Apprentice, Intern, Industrial Placement and Graduate hiring. Your role will be working in a “360” capacity delivering both attraction and selection activity, alongside being responsible for a key project related to Emerging Talent hiring, expected to be within (but not limited to) Work Experience, T-level and Apprenticeship hiring.

Managing full life-cycle recruitment for vacancies, you could be supporting Work Experience, T-levels, Foundation/Modern Apprenticeship or Degree Apprenticeship hiring at different parts of the year, alongside delivering a suite of recruitment and non-recruitment attraction activity directly to potential applicants.

Exceptional candidate experience, decreasing time-to-hire, and ensuring a best-in-class quality of delivery are central to the aspirations of the team. With a distinct focus on emphasising the activity which really helps support strategic objectives and skills acquisition, your activity will directly tie into helping us achieve those objectives.

This role is best suited for someone with Early Careers, or Emerging Talent, recruitment experience looking to take on more accountability, or project oversight, whilst working on behalf of a household client name.

This is 12 months FTC with an onsite requirement in Birmingham: 3 days/week.
Key Accountabilities
  • Key project ownership on one of: Work Experience, T-level, Foundation/ Modern Apprenticeship or Degree Apprenticeship hiring
  • Risk stewardship – working in a globally matrixed and highly regulated environment
  • Delivering best in class recruitment activity, spotting and suggesting key optimisations or angles for continuous improvement
  • Facilitation of virtual and physical selection processes – facilitation, assessor upskilling, individual interview management through to running assessment centres
  • Ensuring a constant spotlight on candidate experience – constantly looking to find ways to improve, educate, and accelerate processes
  • Creation, innovation, and delivery of attraction activity – both physically and virtually
Skills & Requirements
What do I need to succeed in this role?
Must haves:
  • Recruitment Experience – ideally RPO/In-house with a focus on Early Careers (Apprenticeship) hiring
  • Strong operational ability, able to operate in a high volume, fast-paced & process-driven environment
  • An understanding of Work Experience & Apprenticeships recruitment best practice tools and methodologies (e.g. psychometric testing, interview methodologies)
  • Strong verbal and written communication, ideally evidenced by supporting teams across multiple geographies and seniority levels
  • An understanding and ability to utilise Data
Nice to haves:
  • Good Early Careers/Emerging Talent awareness (i.e. key trends, appetites, audience/demographic desires etc.)
  • Presentation skills – verbal and in-person
  • Data analysis skills – either formal qualifications or an ability to analyse/infer/report
  • Apprenticeship Levy knowledge – varying apprenticeship qualifications, how a business can utilise the Levy, wider training provider awareness/knowledge
  • Exposure to a highly matrixed global environment
  • Experienced interviewer and interview/assessor trainer
  • Diversity sourcing experience
