Job summary

Teach Now Limited is recruiting on behalf of a high-performing, Ofsted-rated Outstanding all-through school in Redbridge. We seek an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages who can teach French and Spanish with confidence and creativity.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging French and Spanish lessons across KS3/KS4; KS5 may be available.

• Use assessments to track progress and support all learners.
• Collaborate within the MFL team to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Support enrichment activities and language-focused events within the school.

Job description

Position: Early Career Teacher (MFL – French & Spanish) Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: 03/09/2026 Salary: £37,868 – £39,851 per year Salary will be determined in line with the Outer London Main Pay Scale and aligned to the Early Career Teacher (ECT) pay range (M1–M2). The role is suitable for ECTs, with salary awarded at M1.

What You’ll Do

• Teach engaging and interactive French and Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 opportunities may be available).
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, using creative and structured approaches to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
• Foster a genuine love of languages and promote cultural curiosity and global awareness.
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and support all learners, including those needing stretch and challenge.
• Work collaboratively within the MFL team to share best practice and contribute to curriculum development.
• Take an active role in the wider school community, supporting enrichment activities and language-focused events where appropriate.
