Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting Primary Early Career Teachers (ECT) to support local schools across Chester and the surrounding areas with flexible opportunities from day-to-day cover to long-term classroom roles.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, foster a warm, structured learning environment, use positive behavior strategies, and leave clear handovers for the permanent teacher at the end of the day.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or UK primary teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd).
• Experience or training across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 (primary age groups).
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply with help.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
• Creating a warm, positive, and structured learning environment.
• Using positive behavior management strategies aligned with school ethos.
• Leaving clear handovers for the permanent class teacher at the end of the day.

• An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one with our help).
• A passion for primary education and a patient, adaptable approach.
