GLL Watersports Instructor Job Description

GLL is seeking a Watersports Instructor to work at West Reservoir Centre, Hackney. If you have the necessary skills and ambition, this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in watersports instruction.

West Reservoir Centre is a purpose-built outdoor centre offering activities such as dinghy sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, powerboating, and open water swimming. We are looking for a dedicated team member to make a positive impact on every visitor.

Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver structured watersports programmes focused on progression and development.
  2. Provide high-quality coaching sessions.
  3. Enhance coaching quality and increase participation.
  4. Be aware of pupils' needs and status.
  5. Maintain a welcoming, helpful, and professional centre image.
  6. Set up equipment.
  7. Address customer queries.
  8. Support open water events.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Passion and engaging personality.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Team player mentality.
  • Qualifications in RYA Dinghy Instructor, Windsurfing Instructor, or Powerboat Instructor.
  • First Aid qualification (training available in-house).
  • Experience in community coaching or working with diverse groups.
Additional Information:
