An excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to join the Specialist Community Forensic Team. The role involves working with individuals transitioning from secure care to the community, requiring skills in assessment and treatment planning. Applicants should have significant mental health experience and be capable of providing supervision and training to multidisciplinary teams.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, passionate about working with men and women transitioning out of secure care to live in the community. This is a full-time, permanent position based in the Specialist Community Forensic Team. We welcome applications from psychologists with significant mental health experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health problems and personality disorders. Previous experience with service users involved with forensic services is essential.
Applicants should be skilled in forensic consultation, clinical psychological assessment, risk assessment, formulation, and treatment planning. They should be capable of implementing specialist psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families, and groups. A significant part of the role involves advising, guiding, and consulting on psychological aspects of care to colleagues and other service providers, often leading case management planning and admission avoidance strategies.
Skills in teaching, training, and clinical supervision are also required. The role involves providing supervision to multidisciplinary team members and delivering training to the SCFT, other service providers, and key stakeholders.
