Job description

This is an exciting time to join NUH in this new and high-profile role.

Role Overview

The Education function is critical to developing new service delivery models and integrating functions under one education and learning umbrella. As a teaching hospital, we are instrumental in training doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals, with strong partnerships with universities such as the University of Nottingham, Nottingham Trent University, and Loughborough University.

This senior role has been newly created amid organizational change to lead our vision for education and implement our 3-year Education and Learning Strategy. Our goal is to grow, attract, and retain talent through a Centre of Excellence that offers high-quality learning and resource sharing to improve care. We are investing in workforce development, new education delivery models, cohesive faculty arrangements, governance systems, and partnerships, while managing large-scale contracts and refining our commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide professional leadership in education, working closely with senior colleagues, universities, partners, and regulatory bodies.
  2. Support strategic and operational education projects with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  3. Lead NHS Education initiatives with experience in faculty frameworks, commercial focus, and transformational change management.
