Job Title: Supplier Assurance Manager

Location: Hybrid (2 days in office - Tuesdays & Thursdays), London

What You'll Do

As the Manager - Supplier Assurance, you will lead a team responsible for quality aspects of supplier management across our global operations. This is a 14-month fixed-term contract starting in September/October, suitable for someone with strong management experience in fast-paced environments.

You will:

  1. Manage and mentor a team of 4, including direct reports based in Mumbai
  2. Lead quality integration during mergers, acquisitions, and new supplier onboarding
  3. Oversee Technical/Quality Agreements, approved supplier lists, and the Self Inspection programme
  4. Execute internal audits and ensure GMP/GDP compliance systems are maintained
  5. Support project and change management within decentralized and matrixed structures
  6. Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Regulatory, and New Product Introduction teams
  7. Deputize for the Senior Quality Manager - Supplier Assurance as needed

About You

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Biology, or equivalent (industry experience may suffice in lieu of a degree)
  • Postgraduate or auditing qualifications are advantageous

Experience & Competencies:

  • Experience in pharmaceutical quality roles
  • Leadership or management experience, particularly in supplier assurance
  • Support for mergers, acquisitions, new product introductions, and supplier onboarding
  • Expertise in quality agreements with third-party and GxP suppliers
  • Understanding of GMP/GDP compliance and quality systems
  • Experience with internal audits or manufacturing sites is a plus
  • Ability to work in decentralized, matrixed environments under tight timelines
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of EU/UK pharmaceutical legislation (e.g., EudraLex Vol. 4, GDP 2013/C 343/01)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership qualities and ability to motivate cross-functional teams
  • Logical, solutions-focused approach
