Job Title: Machine Operator

At AA Labels, we are seeking talented individuals to join us as Machine Operators to operate our world-class, semi-automatic label production machinery. With 17 years of experience, our company is a leading supplier of labels in the UK and is experiencing strong growth.

Important: This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to set up and manage machines accurately to fulfill varied customer orders. The machines are not fully automated, so candidates should be capable of thinking on their feet and understanding specific machine and order requirements. This position is not suitable for those seeking line operating roles. Candidates should possess a positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

The main duties involve operating the machines, with dispatch responsibilities as a secondary task. Interested candidates should apply with their CV, answer screening questions carefully, and complete the required assessments. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for telephone screenings and face-to-face interviews.

Working Hours

Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9 AM and 6 PM. Specific hours will be fixed and agreed upon prior to starting.
Part-time: Hours to be discussed and agreed based on business needs. Saturday overtime may be required as per business requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate print machinery to produce printed labels on flat sheets and rolls.
2. Retrieve materials and supplies from stock as needed.
3. Meet production requirements following procedures, standards, and quality checks.
4. Ensure all products meet internal quality standards.
5. Package and label products according to company policy.
6. Operate label printing machinery.
7. Cover for colleagues and perform general warehouse duties.
8. Achieve productivity targets.
9. Manage time effectively and plan daily activities.
10. Participate in regular training sessions.
11. Adhere to all company guidelines and policies.
12. Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
