Role overview
Our client is a world leader in antibody drug discovery and development. This is a unique opportunity to join the Antibody Discovery team working with cutting-edge technologies to help shape the delivery of next-generation antibody therapeutics.
This role involves developing and validating new sequence-based and structure-based antibody design approaches, including hit identification, sequence optimisation, and in silico de novo antibody design. It is laboratory-based and requires detailed knowledge of molecular biology and microbiological methods, with a proven track record in antibody discovery or protein engineering.
**Responsibilities:**
• Play a key role in discovering therapeutic monoclonal antibodies to support the pipeline and create value for patients.
• Use yeast display for antibody discovery and optimisation.
• Design and perform selections with synthetic display libraries for in silico de novo antibody discovery.
• Prepare and analyse NGS libraries to support discovery and engineering.
• Collaborate with computational scientists to develop AI/Deep learning and structure-based approaches.
• Contribute to new methodologies in antibody display and engineering.
• Work across project teams to meet timelines.
• Present data at meetings.
Profile:
• PhD or equivalent in molecular biology and protein biochemistry, ideally in the antibody field.
• Experience with in vitro display libraries for discovery and engineering.
• Experience with biochemical techniques like flow cytometry, surface plasmon resonance, or Bio-layer interferometry.
• Skills in computational platforms, molecular visualisation, and NGS data analysis.
• Motivated, detail-oriented, with strong data analysis and communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
