PRODUCT ENGINEERING: FUTURE PROPULSION SYSTEMS GRADUATE PROGRAMME

As the automotive industry shifts from fossil fuels to electric power, Jaguar Land Rover is leading this transformation. By the end of the decade, models like Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender will offer pure-electric options, with Jaguar becoming fully electric.

In this programme, you will learn to deliver high-quality future propulsion systems, working with engineering tools like CAE and CAD, and engaging in data analysis while collaborating closely with customer groups.

You will oversee the entire delivery process for components and systems, working with programme managers, purchasing, manufacturing, and external partners to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. Your fresh ideas and perspectives will be valued and challenged.

The two-year programme includes rotations through various placements to develop your technical knowledge at component or system levels, covering design, development, and operation of electric propulsion systems. You will be supported by a mentor throughout.

Placement options depend on your skills and interests, and you will be matched accordingly.

Potential teams include:

ENGINEERING OPERATIONS (EO) TEAM

This team supports innovation and product delivery through project management, data analytics, and prototype testing, impacting product development and propulsion technology.

PROPULSION TEAM

During the programme, you will develop business and leadership skills through bespoke training with Ashorne Hill, working on key projects and gaining insights to prepare for your future career.

What You’ll Need:

A degree in mechanical or automotive engineering/design, systems CAD, chemistry, physics, or computer science. Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity about business challenges, and confidence to lead initiatives are essential.

Rewards and Benefits:

Starting salary of £32,000 with a £2,000 joining bonus. After two years, salary increases to £39,000. Benefits include holiday allowance, car purchase schemes, pension, and discounts.
