A Qualified Social Worker is required on preferably a full time basis to join Swansea Councils' Adults with Learning Disabilities team. This role is based in the Guildhall, Swansea. The role is 37 hours per week and offers hybrid working, between home, on site and face to face with clients. The post may also include welfare / safeguarding visits.. Pay rate for this role is up to £38.43 per hour via Umbrella dependent upon experience or the PAYE equivalent. This contract will initially run for 3 months, but there maybe scope for this to continue.
The Learning Disability teams work with Service Users and their families to maximise independence and opportunities which enable service users to enjoy purposeful, meaningful and fulfilled lives. The candidate must have experience in working in learning disability teams. Experience of assessment, care planning, person centred planning and care management are essential, as is the ability to use IT in a competent manner and to meet performance standards. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong value base and committed to strength based practice.You would be expected to work within the legislative framework (e.g. Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2015) along with demonstrating an understanding of risk management and how to work in a strength-based, outcome focused way. Preferably you will have had previous experience of using WCCIS and ideally be local to Swansea.
