Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week Monday-Friday or, part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours available.

This role is office based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, build, and test electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Work within a product development team to create hardware solutions for security products.
  • Modify and improve existing designs and collaborate on new product development.
  • Use technical knowledge to develop electronic hardware for custom security solutions.

Training and development:

Support and training will be provided, including a training budget for external courses. You will also have time allocated for innovation and research.

About You:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Preferred but not essential:

  • Further qualifications or a degree in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with electronic schematic capture, PCB design, RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

  • Enjoy working with others and sharing knowledge.
  • Driven to complete projects to a high standard.
  • Creative problem-solver.
  • Good at managing workload and adapting to change.

Role Activities:

  • Design and document electronic PCB systems.
  • Verify designs through testing and peer reviews.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts and project planning.
