Part-Time Creative Director & Marketer

Yes Friends is hiring a part-time Creative Director & Marketer as we grow our team making ethical clothing affordable.

Who are Yes Friends?

Yes Friends exists to make ethical clothing affordable and transform the fashion industry. Small goals.

We launched in April 2021 with the £7.99 sustainable & ethical T-shirt. In our first month we sold over 4,000 T-shirts. Journalists got the memo and we were featured in The Guardian, The Independent and Sky News and received the highest ethical rating by independent ethical directory Good On You.

Since then, we’ve continued to grow our collection of affordable ethical clothing and became the first UK brand to allow customers to tip garment workers directly.

We’re now looking for a talented Creative Director & Marketer to join us as we continue to grow our team and impact.

About The Role

You will be taking a lead on the visual creative direction of Yes Friends, working alongside our small team to create and develop brand identity and marketing campaigns.

You’ll love taking ownership of a creative vision and bringing it to life using your own talents in photography, video and graphic design, as well as working alongside other creatives.

Your role will include: shaping and growing the visual identity of the brand, creative direction and organisation of lifestyle photoshoots, photographing in-house studio shoots, creating imagery, graphics and video for marketing comms, discovering new collaborators and influencers to expand reach, briefing creatives to make new content, designing all our brand visual touch points (e.g. packaging, leaflets, web design, email), you will also be working alongside our team to generate creative ideas to grow and shape our organic and paid marketing.

We’re looking for a positive, self-motivated individual ready to take on the challenge of a start-up. We’re atinycompany (you'll be employee number 6!), there's not a whole set of processes or lots of people to report to. Instead, you’ll love the ownership and responsibility of playing a key role in shaping Yes Friends and seeing the direct impact your work has on the fashion industry.

You’ll need to ooze creativity, take initiative and be up for the wild ride of growing a small company.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years industry experience in creative direction and/or marketing
• Experience in creative direction and briefing creatives
• Strong interest and understanding of photography, video & graphic design
• Experienced in content creation for marketing channels
• Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Suite
• Bursting with ideas!
• Highly self-motivated, organised and proactive in a fast-paced start-up environment
