Responsibilities:

• Setup, startup, shutdown of all extrusion line machinery, including extruder, cooling tank, cutter/puller, and knowledge of conveyor and all other downstream equipment.
• Monitor the extrusion process closely, making real-time adjustments to equipment settings to maintain product quality and output efficiency.
• Setup of laser and the manufacturing of all process control related alarms.
• Use of inspection procedures, including measuring gauges and instruments, and all support inspection documentation.
• Conduct regular quality checks on products being produced to ensure they meet required specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues or malfunctions that may arise during the production process to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records, including product counts, machine settings, and maintenance activities, to track productivity and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and protocols to create a safe working environment and minimize workplace hazards.
• Assist in training new team members on the operation and maintenance of extrusion equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in machine operation and maintenance is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing role.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand and operate complex machinery.
• Knowledge of extrusion processes, equipment, and procedures.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to machine operation and manufacturing environments.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality output in a timely and efficient manner.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and address operational issues quickly.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members and supervisors.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
