Job Description

Position: Clinical Applications Specialist – General Imaging Ultrasound

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Application Specialist to join our Ultrasound team. Whether you come from a clinical background or have transitioned into the commercial sector, your expertise in General Imaging and customer-focused approach will be highly valued.

This role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the growth of our General Imaging Ultrasound business, enhance customer satisfaction, and support after-sales activities by demonstrating Philips Cardiac Ultrasound products and training users to ensure optimal use. You will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders and play a key role in our ultrasound business success.

This field-based position covers the South West & Wales territory. Willingness to travel and support team members is essential. Relocation plans are required if not currently residing in the territory.

You will be part of a team of 15 ultrasound clinical application specialists, reporting to the Business Line Manager, with support from the Ultrasound Clinical Applications team leader.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate General Imaging Ultrasound products at customer sites, hospitals, conferences, and exhibits. Support Sales Specialists to showcase equipment effectively.
  2. Manage post-sales customer training at hospitals and Philips customer optimization days.
  3. Follow training schedules for all equipment ranges, train customers, and provide application reports after visits.
  4. Maintain ongoing contact with users to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in Philips Ultrasound equipment.
  5. Ensure clinical training aligns with the company's quality policies.
  6. Provide feedback on system performance, competitor products, customer reactions, and sales initiatives to management.
  7. Collaborate with the Product Management team to stay updated on ultrasound information and attend international meetings as needed.
  8. Support courses delivered by key accounts and customers.
  9. Assist in marketing, sales, and promotion of General Imaging Ultrasound equipment, providing specialist support to account managers.
Ideal Candidate
  • Hold a full UK driving license and willing to travel extensively.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Sonography or Clinical Science.
  • Member of the British Society of Echocardiology.
  • In-depth clinical experience in General Imaging.
  • Ability to train others on ultrasound equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship-building ability.
