Principal Design Engineer

Location: Lancashire

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: DOE £80,000 to £85,000 per annum

A Global Construction and Engineering Consultancy is looking for a Principal Design Engineer. Operating across the world, offering endless opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Be the single point of contact for multiple projects, managing deliverables and costs.
• Report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
• Represent the team in collaborative project meetings.
• Carry out civil/structural designs and act as checker on other designs.
• Undertake site visits when appropriate.
• Prepare fully integrated permanent works proposals/solutions to meet project requirements.
• Manage the design work of staff and external designers.
• Collaborate with other Principal Engineers for departmental growth.

Your Experience

• Experience managing projects from design and cost perspectives.
• 5-10 years in a similar role.
• Experience in financial management and control of projects.
• Strong analytical and design skills, with the ability to interpret complex structures.
• Open-minded approach to solving civil and structural engineering challenges.
• Chartered status with ICE and/or IStructE is preferred.
