The International business is going through a major transformation, pivoting from being almost 100% linear to being digital first, and our Sales team needs to reflect that. As a complement to our 3rd party sales reps, we are building an innovative, passionate, and industry-respected in-house International Ad Sales team.

Within this dynamic and fast-growing department, the International Ad Sales team is responsible for driving revenue directly from clients and agencies based in the UK but with responsibility for International, Pan-Regional, or Multi-local budgets, delivering creative solutions to client briefs utilizing every aspect of our business from channels to streaming, from entertainment to kids, from films to sport and gaming.

New Business

  • Responsible for sourcing, engaging, and closing new business relationships across the WBD portfolio (over $1m) across all agencies and clients for International Ad Sales in the UK, Nordics, and Netherlands. Identifying relevant contacts, maintaining regular dialogue, and ensuring awareness and understanding of WBD brand and product is high.
  • Breakdown silos within WBD to execute cross-divisional campaigns touching multiple parts of the business.
  • Take responsibility for negotiating and closing deals across the full portfolio (target $4m PA), with support from your Director.
  • Consider the pipeline of business, building and managing effective relationships through to progressing multi-year deals.

Campaign Management

  • Work with internal departments including Marketing, Brand Solutions, Project Management, Events, etc., responsible for the day-to-day delivery of your campaigns.
  • Support the Senior Director in maintaining key relationships with clients and media agencies in the execution of campaigns to deliver excellent client service at all stages.
  • Maintain strong inter-departmental relationships throughout WBD and support assistants in building internal relationships.

Team

  • Work on ad-hoc ‘growth’ projects with the GVP and Sales Leadership Team to drive a market-leading proposition and ensure our business remains future-facing.
  • Build relationships with the wider team by traveling to other territories for workshops and sales meetings.

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Strong experience in Media or broadcast: in Media Agencies, Client-side, or media owner.
  • A strong team player.
  • Able to establish and maintain influential relationships, including external suppliers.
  • Has strong attention to detail and is precise.
  • Has a structured and organized mindset.
  • Has the ability to pitch discussions at the right level.
  • Creative, confident, and enthusiastic with a positive outlook.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Enthusiastic with a positive outlook.
  • Strong numeric skills and numeracy.
  • Able to work with facts and figures – has a detailed mind.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Knowledge of WBD, the media industry, linear or VOD TV.
