As Regulatory Coordinator (Nutrition Research) you are responsible for claim substantiation, ensuring that all product claims and advertising content comply with regulatory guidelines, meet high scientific standards, and adhere to FDA and FTC requirements. To succeed in this role, you must have excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct scientific and regulatory research to substantiate product claims in accordance with FDA and FTC regulations.
  • Review and evaluate clinical studies, scientific literature, and regulatory guidance to support structure/function claims.
  • Develop and maintain claim substantiation dossiers for new and existing products.
  • Keep up to date on the latest research and regulatory trends related to dietary supplements, cosmetics, and other health products to support innovative product development.
  • Collaborate with team members to assess regulatory risk of product claims, propose revisions as needed to better support claims within FDA/FTC guidelines.
  • Review consumer-facing materials for regulatory compliance and scientific accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years experience within a regulatory or scientific affairs environment with focus on dietary supplements, foods and cosmetics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Science, Biology, or related field.
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting scientific research.
  • Knowledge of vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other health products.
  • Knowledge of FDA, FTC, DSHEA and other regulatory guidelines is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills.
  • Solution oriented and resolution focused.
