Job description

Driver Hire Leeds West are recruiting experienced and reliable van drivers to work for us and deliver high levels of customer service for our customers based in South and West Leeds as they gear up for their busy summer period. We're very selective as we only work with drivers who can represent both ourselves and the customers they work for to a high standard. If that sounds like you, please read on!

The Role:

• Working for a wide variety of customers based in South and West Leeds


• No 2 customers are the same, so work will be varied and never boring.


• Usually Monday to Friday work with start times between 6am and 8am


• Minimum 8 hour shifts paid & overtime often available.


• Occasional weekend/night work available.


• Some customers combine driving with an element of warehouse work.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months of commercial van driving experience is essential.


• Competence in using PDA's is highly desirable.


• Experience of using ratchet straps to fasten down loads.


• As some lifting will often be necessary, a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.


• The ability to work well within a team and communicate well with colleagues and customers.


• A high standard of personal presentation.


• No more than 6 points on your licence and for minor offences only.
