Job Title: Associate Electronics PCB Design Engineer Ref. 956

Department: Engineering

Salary: £36,330 - £39,055

Job description

Salary awarded is based on skills assessment at interview.

This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday, or part-time with a minimum coverage of 28 hours per week. Flexible or compressed working hours available.

This role is office based.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and testing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Working within a product development team on hardware products and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining electronic hardware for custom security products for partners domestically and internationally.
  • Modifying existing designs and collaborating on new product development.
  • Participating in training, external courses, and dedicating time to innovation and research.

About You

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in design and testing of analogue, digital, and microcontroller-based systems.
  • An understanding of product and system design and development.
  • Relevant work experience or qualifications, such as an HND in electrical/electronic engineering.

Beneficial but not essential:

  • Qualifications in electrical/electronic or mechanical engineering, or a 2:2 or higher degree.
  • Experience in electronic schematic capture and PCB design.
  • Experience with RF design, EMC, and signal integrity.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.

Role Expectations

  • Participate in full product development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, document, verify, and support electronic PCB systems.
  • Support products and investigate defects.
  • Contribute to library parts and project planning.
