Job description

Staffordshire County Council is offering an exciting opportunity to join the Analytics and Insight team within People Services. As the first point of contact, you'll support the Senior Advisor and Manager by managing our HR and payroll systems, and by creating reports that inform decision-making across the Council.

The role also involves supporting the Systems and Service Improvement team with projects, data creation, insights, and maintaining accurate records.

You will be part of the broader People Services team, which aims to make Staffordshire a great place to work by fostering staff development, ensuring a positive and safe workplace, and supporting employees.

Main Responsibilities
  • Produce and distribute standard reports for the organization
  • Manage shared mailboxes, respond to queries, and handle report requests to ensure excellent customer service
  • Maintain the organizational management structure in HR systems by processing changes
  • Assist with large-scale data validation exercises, such as pay awards, incremental progression, and leave entitlements
  • Support statutory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with regulations
The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • GCSE level education (or equivalent) or relevant administrative experience
  • Experience using ICT tools, including Microsoft Office and Excel, for data analysis and presentation
  • Skills in interpreting data from various sources to produce reports
  • Experience in data entry and maintenance in computer systems
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and contribute to high performance
