Join a dynamic team as a Consultant in Medical Microbiology at a leading NHS Trust in Bury St Edmunds. You will provide essential clinical microbiology services, engage in teaching, and lead departmental activities. The role includes on-call duties and collaborative work within a friendly environment.
The successful applicant will join an established team of 6 consultants (4.2 WTE) and 2 registrars in a friendly, dynamic, and forward-thinking department with an on-site laboratory.
The department seeks a full-time Consultant in Medical Microbiology or Medical Microbiology/ID, or a Consultant Clinical Scientist in Medical Microbiology. On-call duties are anticipated to be approximately 1:5-1:6 weekdays and weekends, with prospective cover and category A availability supplement.
Bury St Edmunds is a lovely, historic market town in East Anglia, offering various leisure and cultural activities. It has easy transport links to Cambridge, Norwich, the coast, London, Stansted and Norwich airports, and Harwich port for international travel.
