Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £44,044 (including £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Working Arrangements: Flexible working options including full-time, part-time, compressed hours, and around 40% home working depending on business needs.

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a key role in defending our organization against cyber threats such as malware, insider threats, DDoS attacks, and phishing. Your responsibilities include investigating alerts, analyzing logs and network traffic using tools like Splunk, monitoring security alarms, creating detection content, leveraging threat intelligence, and responding to breaches. Daily team meetings will review ongoing investigations and planning.
You will lead process improvements, mentor junior analysts, and provide expert guidance. There are opportunities to explore Digital Forensics and support security incidents, contribute to strategic direction, and stay updated with the latest cybersecurity tools and techniques.
You should have a background in cybersecurity analysis and a passion for IT, with experience in host intrusion detection preferred but not essential. A solid understanding of Windows and Linux OS is required. You need at least 6 months of experience as a Cyber Security or SOC Analyst. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are essential.

You will have opportunities to work across cybersecurity specialisms, attend conferences, and stay abreast of industry innovations. Travel opportunities are infrequent and optional.
Starting salary of £44,044 plus benefits such as 25-30 days annual leave, performance recognition, interest-free season ticket loan, pension scheme, cycle to work, on-site facilities, and paid parental leave.
