Job description

Our client has an opportunity for an Industrial Project Manager to join them on a contract basis until May 2026. As part of the Wing Value Stream Management (VSM) organisation, you will contribute to ensuring that all changes in the supply chain are integrated and robustly managed, to secure the continuity in the flow of parts required by the plants or the Final Assembly Lines (FALs) to assemble the wings for the Single Aisle (SA) Programme.

35 hours per week

Hourly Rate:

Up to 40 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35

Clearance:

BSPSS required to start

What You'll Be Doing

1. Contributing to the definition of the Procurement Commodity strategy, considering the SA Programme and VSM requirements, and developing a corresponding roadmap.
2. Prioritising and enabling projects submitted in the Procurement Plan as part of the AOP, in line with Programme/VSM priorities.
3. Regularly communicating with suppliers to convey the Programme/VSM strategy, supporting procurement teams in its implementation, and providing feedback on supplier performance.
4. Supporting the MFT in charge of tenders by validating key business terms, assessing bidders' responses, and contributing to the MFT's recommendations and stakeholder buy-off.
5. Monitoring supply chain projects, especially ramp-up and transfers of work, to ensure robust implementation through methodologies like APQP and LBIP, and identifying and mitigating risks to prevent disruptions at Broughton.
6. Supporting MFTs in identifying and mitigating risks related to supplier claims, and managing these claims through Programme/Finance.
7. Monitoring the supply chain performance for the SA Wing and assisting in resolving industrial issues affecting Broughton or the FALs, including quality and supply topics.
8. Identifying and collating impacts related to supplier non-performance to support claims.

Requirements

• Experience managing suppliers and working with MRP planning systems.
• Experience with industrial and quality management systems.
• Strong project management skills; experience in product change management or transfer of work is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and challenge appropriately; negotiation proficiency in English.
• Manufacturing or production experience is essential.
• Proven project management experience within a large organization.
