Store Manager - Chingford
Location: The Co-operative Food, 1-13 Station Road, Chingford, E4 7BJ
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum plus great benefits
Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team. This full-time Store Manager role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

As a Store Manager, you'll help deliver the store's purpose by guiding commercial and community strategies. You'll lead your team, ensuring a fantastic shopping experience and fostering growth and learning among your staff to demonstrate the Co-op difference to customers, colleagues, and members.

In this role, you can expect to:

  1. Empower your team to deliver excellent service, promoting the Co-op difference
  2. Build an inclusive culture where everyone can share their views
  3. Develop your team through regular performance conversations
  4. Ensure the store is safe, legal, and operational
  5. Manage and optimize store performance, recruit new team members, and handle HR processes

You will need experience in guiding and developing a team in a busy, service-focused environment. Good communication skills, coaching, motivation, and inspiration are essential. Additionally, you should have:

  • Resilience and strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to analyze commercial data
  • A willingness to support the team actively
