Store Manager - Chingford
Location: The Co-operative Food, 1-13 Station Road, Chingford, E4 7BJ
Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per annum plus great benefits
Contract: Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Store Manager to join our retail team. This full-time Store Manager role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

As a Store Manager, you'll help deliver the store's purpose by guiding commercial and community strategies. You'll lead your team, ensuring a fantastic shopping experience, and help them grow and learn to demonstrate the Co-op difference to customers, colleagues, and members.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Empower your team to deliver excellent service and promote the Co-op difference
  • Build an inclusive culture where everyone can share their views
  • Develop your team through regular performance conversations
  • Ensure the store is safe, legal, and operational
  • Manage and optimise store performance, recruit new team members, and oversee HR processes

You’ll need experience in guiding and developing a team, working in a busy, service-focused environment. Good communication skills, coaching, motivating, and inspiring your team are essential. You should also have:

  • Resilience and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to understand and analyse commercial information
  • Willingness to support store activities actively
