Role Overview: Accountable for delivering MEP services on projects, ensuring outcomes meet time, budget, safety, and quality standards. Responsible for high-quality, efficient, and profitable delivery, leading teams and ensuring compliance, governance, and stakeholder engagement.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing the MEP team with professionalism, providing guidance and fostering compliance with Mace standards.
• Ensuring successful delivery of MEP services, including program management, safety, quality, and commissioning.
• Coordinating with project stakeholders such as clients, consultants, and trade contractors.
• Leading tendering processes, supporting bid teams, and managing resource needs.
• Establishing procurement strategies and managing specialist packages within scope and budget.
• Reviewing contracts and scopes, assisting with budgets, and supporting commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Developing and implementing project strategies aligned with Mace’s priorities, such as Prefabrication and Safety.
• Overseeing design reviews for compliance, coordination, and energy considerations.
• Planning project phases, milestones, and logistics.
• Supporting commissioning strategies, including IST and Soft Landings.
• Assessing productivity and identifying risks using digital technologies.
• Managing project close-out activities to high standards.
• Proactively managing risks and mitigation plans.
• Driving continuous improvement and lessons learned.
• Leading and developing teams, ensuring performance and technical growth.
• Contributing to net zero carbon initiatives during project delivery.

Minimum Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of engineering systems, standards, and installation techniques.
• Understanding of construction sequencing, dependencies, and project management.
• Strong commercial management skills, including procurement, change control, and risk management.
• Solid understanding of health, safety, quality assurance, and commissioning processes.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale projects (>£25m MEP value).
• Relevant construction sector experience and technical proficiency.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as a trade apprenticeship, engineering degree, or equivalent.
• Certifications like SMSTS and CSCS cards.
