£45,000-£60,000 + car allowance

Location: Cardiff, Wales

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 1-2 days in office, rest on site

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure and renewable energy. You will be a proactive leader with excellent organisational skills, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the complete lifecycle of solar, battery storage, EV charging, and electrical maintenance projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
2. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules aligned with business goals.
3. Collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to guarantee smooth project execution.
4. Review technical designs, specifications, and documentation to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
5. Monitor project milestones, manage risks, and address site challenges effectively.
6. Supervise on-site operations, manage resources, and uphold health and safety compliance.
7. Ensure all projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and quality benchmarks.
8. Lead, mentor, and coordinate project teams, fostering strong communication and accountability.
9. Conduct site audits to verify adherence to project designs and specifications.
10. Prepare comprehensive project reports and performance analyses for stakeholders.
11. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes.

Requirements

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma or City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations (or equivalent qualification).
• Higher education qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Proven track record in managing renewable energy or electrical projects.
• Solid understanding of solar PV, battery systems, EV charging infrastructure, and maintenance protocols.
• Project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent).
• Desirable qualifications: SMSTS, CSCS Card, ECS Gold Card.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including CDM 2015.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project (not essential).
• Exceptional organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
