We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Field IT Support Technician to join my clients team on a permanent basis. Covering sites across Yorkshire (Brighouse, Elland, Halifax etc), you’ll provide on-site IT support to ensure systems are operational, secure, and effective for end-users. This is a hands-on role requiring a good mix of technical ability and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first and second-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
Travel to various customer or company sites across Yorkshire to perform on-site installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Set up, configure, and support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, incidents, and solutions.
Liaise with central IT teams to escalate complex issues where necessary.
Ensure all work complies with company standards and security protocols.
Requirements:
Proven experience in an IT Support or similar technical support role providing installation and configuration of hardware & software.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and common hardware troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with Active Directory, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems.
Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively.
Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car (mileage paid for travel between sites).
Must be based in or willing to travel extensively across Yorkshire.
Desirable:
Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
