Lead AI Developer - Travel
Salary: £50,000 (National) - £65,000 (London)

Are you passionate about the latest advancements in Generative AI and love to innovate and create cutting-edge solutions? We are looking for a Lead AI Developer to join our team and drive innovation in Aviva’s Travel insurance offering. If you are newly qualified in AI or have previous experience in a related role and are excited to deliver on projects, we would love to hear from you!

A bit about the job:

  • Deploy and monitor AI and GenAI solutions within the Data and Analytics team.

  • Support the operations team for Aviva’s Travel insurance offering.

  • Work on Aviva’s overall GenAI Copilot strategy to enable data-driven decisions for efficient and consistent customer outcomes.

  • Manage team members, support their development, and establish yourself as an expert within the team.

  • Collaborate with Quantum to share expertise, foster continuous learning, and rapidly re-use best practice ideas.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Proficient in latest GenAI practiceslike prompt engineering and RAG systems, with awareness of emerging technologies such as Agentic AI.

  • Skilled in integrating servicesvia Python-based pipelines, including package creation, and developing for user application interfaces.

  • Knowledgeable in Kubernetes infrastructure, Docker containerization, and deployment through Azure DevOps pipelines.

  • Understanding of databases and SQLis advantageous.

  • Experienced or willing to learn Software Development Lifecycle, including configuration management and GIT flow best practices, and capable of translating stakeholder requirements into GenAI solutions.

  • Starting salary £50,000 (National) - £65,000 (London) (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

  • Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary - Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s
