You will be an Incorporated Engineer with Membership CIBSE with a willingness to work toward Chartered Engineer status with Membership of CIBSE.
You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of mechanical services (advice, design, project administration, and maintenance) to the Council and its service departments and to external agencies. This includes aiding in the delivery of asset decarbonisation and assisting in the expansion of existing heat networks through the implementation of the Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP). The post holder will also be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of professional/technical staff in relation to the management of the policies and procedures of the Department.
You should have relevant experience in the design and implementation of architectural/building construction projects, project and staff management experience, AutoCAD skills, project management including budgeting, partnering, project programming, familiarity with JCT forms of contract, understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and their application, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Word, Excel. Effective time management skills, good negotiating abilities, and the capacity to work with multidisciplinary teams and clients are essential. Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards and statutory requirements, presentation skills, and the ability to undertake site visits and surveys, including working at height and in confined spaces, are also required.
