Requirements

You will be an Incorporated Engineer with Membership CIBSE with a willingness to work toward Chartered Engineer with Membership of CIBSE.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of mechanical services (advice, design, project administration, and maintenance) to the Council and its service departments and to external agencies. This includes aiding in the delivery of asset decarbonisation and expanding existing heat networks through the implementation of the Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP). The post holder will also lead and coordinate teams of professional/technical staff concerning the management of departmental policies and procedures.

The Individual

Applicants should have relevant experience in designing and implementing architectural/building construction projects, project and staff management experience, AutoCAD skills, project management including budgeting, and experience with partnering, project programming, JCT forms of contract, understanding of CDM 2015 regulations, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Teams, Word, and Excel. Effective time management skills, negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines and with clients are essential. Up-to-date knowledge of technical standards and statutory requirements, presentation skills, and the ability to undertake site visits and surveys (including working at height and in confined spaces) are also required.
