BAND 4 (Annexe 21 during 2 year training period)
Full Time / Permanent
A trainee post with annexe 21 applied is paid a percentage of the fully qualified rate during the period of training as follows: Year 1: 70% of the pay band maximum; Year 2: 75% of the pay band maximum
Salary Scale Band 4 (Full trained): £29,116 - £31,670 per annum

Do you have National 5 qualifications (or Intermediate 2 or Credit Standard Grades) at Grade A to C in Chemistry, Biology, Maths and English/ESOL OR the equivalent SCQF level of qualification/award?
Our Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians will undertake a 2-year distance learning training programme under the supervision and support of our pharmacy team. As a Trainee, you may rotate through various pharmacy areas including primary care, community, and hospital pharmacy departments, learning key skills such as:
We seek diligent, enthusiastic individuals committed to improving patient care and working within the Pharmacy Team across all areas. Commitment to completing the study is essential, along with excellent organizational skills to balance work and academic requirements.
You must have at least National 5 qualifications (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology, Maths, and English/ESOL. Previous pharmacy experience and training to pharmacy services level 2 are desirable but not essential.
Upon successful completion of the 2-year training and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council, you will join the Primary Care Pharmacy Team at Band 4 and may continue your career through the NHS Education Scotland Vocational Training Foundation Programme for Pharmacy Technicians.
The role involves travel to multiple locations, so a full, current driving license and own car are essential.
